That becomes possible at the Science Slam!

At the Science Slam in Wilhelmshaven scientists from different disciplines in Wilhelmshaven come together and present the latest findings from their research to you – the audience – but in an entertaining, creative and understandable way.

The 5th Science Slam took place on 11 April 2024. Nathalie Kürten, Matthias Weissensteiner and Justine Bertram from our institute were represented at this event and helped shape an unforgettable Science Slam with science and fun.

At the 6th Science Slam on 18. March 2025 at the Pumpwerk Wilhelmshaven, Georg Langebrake from the Institute of Avian Research was represented with the contribution “The GPS (Gene Positioning System) of Songbirds”. Nathalie Kürten from the Institute of Avian Research accompanied the event as moderator.
