That is exactly what the exhibition „Chirping – Art from a Bird’s-Eye Perspective" invited visitors to do. Through painting, sculpture, photography, music and other artistic formats, the exhibition was dedicated to the fascinating world of birds and their significance for us humans.

The exhibition took place from 8 July to 10 September 2023 at the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven and was created in cooperation with the Institute of Avian Research. Works by 23 national and international artists were shown.

By connecting art and science, the exhibition opened up new ways of accessing the world of birds. It made visible how diversely birds can be perceived: as objects of research, as part of our environment, as cultural symbols and as a source of fascination.
