Mobile exhibition on bird migration opened
On 19 June 2026, our mobile exhibition kids4kids – Bird Migration was opened at Neuen Gymnasium Wilhelmshaven eröffnet. The exhibition forms the centrepiece of the pilot project of the same name, kids4kids.
In the exhibition, students explain the topic of bird migration from their own perspective. They ask questions, develop content, and communicate scientific contexts in a way that makes them understandable and vivid for other children, young people, and adults.
The exhibition shows how diverse bird migration is: Why do birds migrate? Which strategies do they use on their journeys? How do they navigate along their way? And how do scientists study these fascinating journeys?
After the opening, the exhibition will be available as a mobile travelling exhibition for schools, museums, and other educational venues. In this way, kids4kids can help spark enthusiasm for research, science communication, and, of course, bird migration beyond Wilhelmshaven as well.
