Who can borrow the exhibition?

The exhibition can be borrowed by schools, kindergartens, universities, museums, environmental education centres, associations, as well as other educational and research institutions. It is intended for educational and outreach work related to the topic of bird migration. Commercial use or use for advertising purposes is not permitted.

 


 

How long can the exhibition be borrowed?

The regular loan period is three weeks. Other time periods may still be arranged and agreed upon individually.

 


 

What does it cost to borrow the exhibition?

Borrowing the exhibition itself is free of charge. All costs related to transport, shipping, packaging, insurance, return transport, and any other logistics are covered by the borrowing institution.

 


 

What is included in the exhibition?

The exhibition consists of five modules covering the topics of migratory birds, migratory behaviour, migration strategies, orientation, and research. Depending on the scope of the loan, additional elements such as a VR headset, a marble run module, and accompanying materials may also be included.

 


 

Who organises transport, set-up, and dismantling?

Transport, set-up, and dismantling are generally organised by the borrowing institution. The modules can be transported either assembled or dismantled. If the modules are delivered dismantled, the borrowing institution is responsible for assembling them. Detailed assembly instructions are provided.

Information on dimensions:

  • Height of the modules: approx. 2 m
  • Size of the modules: varies depending on the module and the side of the module. Exact dimensions can be requested if needed
  • Length and width of the rolling boxes: approx. 0.96 x 1.00 m

 

What requirements must be met on site?

Before submitting your request, please check whether your institution meets the necessary requirements:

  • The exhibition can be displayed and stored in suitable indoor spaces
  • The exhibition is protected from moisture, weather, loss, and theft
  • Continuous direct sunlight can be avoided
  • A sufficient number of people are available for transport, set-up, dismantling, and supervision
  • Larger and heavy modules can be moved safely
