As a seabird researcher, I am predominantly interested in the behaviour of marine birds, both while they are foraging out at sea and while they are in the breeding colony, as well as what affects their behaviour. In previous research I have predominantly worked with GPS tracking and other bird-borne biologging technologies. Now, during my postdoc within the common tern team, I plan to investigate the personality of common terns, which factors drive differences in personality between individuals, and which consequences these differences might have.
