My research primarily focuses on the protection of an endangered bird population, where I investigate various potentially threatening factors in order to gain a better understanding of the species and thereby generate information for conservation efforts. In doing so, I consider both external factors, such as the loss of food organisms or the contamination of the birds by pollutants, as well as genetic aspects that are significant for the survival of the population.
