My research interests mostly focus on the interplay between parasitism and avian behavior with a focus on how each of these could act as selective forces both for the birds as hosts and the parasites themselves. A major focus of my research relates to how variation in bird migratory phenotype can lead to the introduction of non-endemic tick species but also how intra- and inter-specific variation in life-history and migratory phenotype modify current expectations of the interactions between birds and their diverse parasites.
