Hormonal regulation of bird migration

Little is known about the hormonal regulation of bird migration. The research group of Cas Eikenaar is trying to fill this gap in our knowledge of bird migration by catching blackbirds and wheatears, taking small blood samples of these birds before releasing them, and investigating several hormone levels in these blood samples.
